This is a post I'd like to write (and will some time).
Why does man kind value capital over everything else - other people, the environment, morals,... and so on. What is it in capitalism that has made us so selfish that we will plod along stuupidly wanting to continue cutting down our every dwindling forests, continue to pollute the atmosphere, ignore a fellow human in the street so desparate for food and start wars? Is it how we've always been and always will be, or is it something that has progressively got worse?
Is anything else in our history so different from today to suggest that we have changed signicantly? If I can answer this question then I have some proof that we have changed.
The conclusion to this post will be that in order for humans to survive we must change our value system from a capitalist based ownership one to something that is more inclusive of the common good and common goals.

- National Enquirer
- I'm not the National Enquirer, others are more privileged to hold that title. I wanted a different name, but someone else had every one I tried. I continued for half an hour until 'National Enquirer' came up as unused. Why did I stumble on this name? The National Enquirer Newspaper (also see Wikipedia entry for the National Enquirer) is all about sensationalism and often proven correct in many cases[wikipedia]. That is, the media sometimes lies, deceives and I suggest, it also corrupts society and is making it worse for it! More on this in some Blog entry. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and have been here for 7 years. I've also lived in Sydney (9 years) and Canberra (20 years). At uni at Sydney I did Computer Science and Mathematics. I love being active - walking, dancing, playing tennis and so on. More and more often is needed. Last thing about me - will I hear from the real National Enquirer to be told to drop using this blog (name)? Hope not but wouldn't suprise me!
